What makes you nervous?<\/p>Hum..<\/mark><\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The only thing that really gets to my nerves\u2014at 24 years old\u2014are the situations I haven\u2019t experienced yet, or the ones I\u2019ve only lightly touched and never fully embraced.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if I have some experience, it doesn\u2019t always stop that overwhelming feeling from creeping in when I\u2019m facing something new.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, moving into a new place, surrounded by unfamiliar faces, having to create connections and find a way to \u201cfit in\u201d\u2014that\u2019s when the nerves kick in. I don\u2019t sit around dreading it beforehand. It usually hits in the moment. The drive to the new place might feel like a breeze, but once I get there, start unpacking, and face the reality of it all\u2014it can be a lot.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eventually, I\u2019ll go to work, meet new people, and settle into a rhythm. But it\u2019s not until I\u2019ve spent real time with someone, past the surface-level conversations, that I feel that twinge of nervous energy. It\u2019s like my brain throws out this thought: \u201cWhat if I mess this up?\u201d And in that moment, I\u2019m reminded\u2014I\u2019ve never been the type to naturally blend into what\u2019s considered \u201cnormal.\u201d<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve hit reset on my life more times than I can count. Each time, I step into new environments that carry the potential to fail, or leave me feeling like I\u2019ve reached a dead end. Still, I keep showing up, even when it makes me nervous. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regardless, in the end I the memories of all past experiences and have learned a way not to feel nurvos… and that called<\/mark> not giving a fuck. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n
